Las Vegas Mens Chorus
Musical Director Originally from Columbia City, Indiana, is a 2001 graduate of Ball State University where he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Choral Music Education.
Since graduating, he has worked professionally as a singer, actor, and musician in various theme park venues nationally, including work as a featured soloist at Cedar Point Amusement park in Ohio and Busch Gardens Theme Park in Virginia. Ryan worked as a Lead Production Singer with Holland America Cruise Lines for 3 years, performing in dozens of production shows internationally. He has served as Musical Director for many regional theatre productions including “Fame – The Musical“, “Fiddler on the Roof“, and “Peter Pan.” In addition, he has played the principal role of Joey Vitale in “Tony and Tina’s Wedding” at the Rio Hotel, performed as a singing gondolier at the Venetian Hotel and has performed as a featured singer and musician in many other Las Vegas & Nevada venues including Harvey’s Lake Tahoe, Caesar’s Palace and The Paris Hotel, starring in the “Can Can Cabaret.”
Currently, Ryan is in his sixth year with the Clark County School District and his third as the Choir Director at Basic High School in Henderson, Nevada, where he directs 5 choirs. Ryan teaches beginning piano and is responsible for the Musical Direction of all Basic High School Musical Productions which have thus far included “Seussical” and “Cinderella.”
Mr. Duff is a proud member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), the Nevada Music Educators Association (NMEA) and the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). He has served as the Co-Chair for the CCSD High School Honor Choir since 2011 and was last year’s Chairperson for the 2013 Nevada High School All-State Choir. In March of 2012, Ryan was named NMEA’s “New Music Educator of the Year.”
Accompianist A pianist, music director / arranger, and vocal coach. In Las Vegas, he has periodically played keyboard for Mamma Mia!, The Lion King, The Phat Pack, and Jersey Boys. He has performed in various venues including at the Palms, Caesar’s Palace, and the Hard Rock Hotel.
In addition, he has played at numerous cabarets and nightclubs in New York City. He has also played for national tours including “Song and Dance” and “A Funny Thing… Forum.” Laurence served for 11 years on the faculty of the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York City. He holds a B.A. in philosophy from Harvard University, and also studied at the Manhattan School of Music and Tanglewood.
